Wallowa Mountain Studio Jewelry

"As a visual artist I am inspired by the colors, shapes and patterns I observe in my environment."

I live in a beautiful natural area and wanted my jewelry to reflect that.

I love the shapes in the natural world but I’m also drawn to various geometric forms that frame and contrast them to create interesting designs.

I love the relationship between fluid shapes found, birds, leaves, dragonflies, etc.

I handcraft each and every piece individually so each is wonderfully unique.

I create themes and variations upon them by changing the colors and background shapes, even adding gemstones and Swarovski crystals.

When I first suggested using "bugs", most people wrinkled their nose. As it turns out they have become my most popular designs.

Look through my jewelry catalog and discover what you like. You will find owls, butterflies, bees, birds, sea shells and more.

My styles range from complicated to simplistic depending on what is happening in the world around me.

Over time my pieces have continually evolved to mirror my passion of this craft. I have fun doing this and I hope you enjoy my work.

"I do my best to make sure each piece of jewelry is as well made as possible. I use hypo-allergenic ear wires and a protectant seal to keep the brass from tarnishing and the colors fresh for years to come with normal wear."

If by chance, the unexpected happens, please contact me and I will be happy to exchange it for another piece within 30 days of your purchase.

Welcome to the Wallowa Mountain Studio

I have always been an artist and have always wanted to express my love of the natural world through my art.  I started out as a painter and have now added making jewelry.  I was not surprised to find myself using nature as a subject again in this new genre.  It has expanded into yet another way for me to express my deep connection to the beauty around me.

My jewelry is made of brass and bronze, pewter components, which I patina with various color mediums, like enamels and acrylics. All the chains have been sprayed with a non toxic product that keeps them from tarnishing and the colors fresh.
All the ear wires are hypo-allergenic and either made of Noibium or sterling silver and sterling sterling filled.

Thanks again for taking a peek and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Susan
